We would be very keen on this as users are not adding profile photos often enough.
I have attached a story of how the image reszie and crop tool could work and although I see it as primarily useful for profile photo's it should be possible to use this anywhere.

Test are the test cases I used. They should be tested with a user portrait, an organization logo, and a company logo:
1. Uploading an image and saving it while cropping it in the middle.
2. Clicking save without uploading a file.
3. Cancelling after uploading a file, then re-opening the window and uploading another file.
4. Uploading an unsupported file type.
5. Uploading a file that is too large to upload.
6. Uploading a file and cropping an image larger than what is allowed by user portraits. (User portrait only.)
7. Uploading a file and cropping (include) the entire image.
8. Uploading a one pixel image and saving it.

This test failed, I created LPS-28594 for it and linked it to this ticket (alloy-ui issue):
9. Zooming in/out with the browser, uploading and cropping (include) the entire image.
