Unable to view .tif files in Image Gallery in Firefox and Chrome

Description

After uploading a .tif file, there is no thumbnail image on the Images Home. File is successfully uploaded, but when the user clicks on the [Image], no image is displayed.

1. Add [Image Gallery Test Page]
2. Add [Documents and Media] portlet
3. Upload image with .tif extension
4. Click on the Image
-no image displays, window is in continuous loading stage.

Tested both a large .tif file and a small .tif file attached. Screenshot of uploaded images also attached.

What browser are you running? It works for me in Safari but not Chrome or FF.

Hey Alex,

It doesn't display in Chrome, FF 3.6 and FF 10. I found that it works on IE 9 though. I've updated the environment.

I'm not entirely sure what you are saying is problem. You mention a screenshot but you didn't upload any. I'm also not sure if you are saying there is a problem with GIF or with PDF or both.

As you can see in my attached screenshot, it works on IE9 with TIF, GIF, JPG, PNG and a multi-page PDF. Can you verify this? I'm using GIT 6.2.x 3b88ca7c3827e762391ed1ab6789a2a4c9b3be1f.

Hey Alex,

Sorry about that. Here are the screens. They are two different issues.

1) IE 9: Theres no preview when i click on the GIF it just shows a red 'x'

2) All browsers: Previews are blank i click on the Multi-page PDFs.

I hope this clarifies the issues.

Hi Lawrence,

So, as attached ("IE9 GIF" and "IE9 PDF"), both work for me. I suspect the problems you are having have nothing to do with this ticket and if you revert your codebase to before the code was applied, both those problems would persist. It may be something to do with the files you are using or your configuration. For the PDF problem, try using ImageMagick if you are using PDFBox or vice versa. If you can, verify this and if this is the case, please open separate tickets for these issues.
