Description

Upload a *.tar.gz attachment in the Wiki or Forum portlet. Then download the file. Downloaded file will be corrupt.

Here is a random example of the bug:

Download the tar.gz attachment, it is corrupt.

Hi Alex,
Thank you for your report. I was able to reproduce this issue in Liferay Portal 6.0.6 GA. I have also tested this issue on trunk revision 85973 and I was also reproduce. I will update the this ticket to reflect the issue.

Hi Alex,

Thank you for your report. As part of the community verifier program I am taking a look at this issue.

I tried to reproduce this on Liferay 6.1 GA1 but could not.

Steps tried:

  1. Attach a sample tar.gz file to a wiki page
  2. Download the file from the wiki
  3. Untar the file on the local machine

The file came out as expected. Have you had an opportunity to test this on Liferay 6.1 GA1?

PASSED Manual Testing using the following steps:

1. Add Wiki portlet to a page.
2. Create wiki front page.
3. Click Attachment.
4. Click Add Attachments button.
5. Use the classic uploader to upload a file with *tar.gz type.
6. Save.
7. Download the file.
8. Open the download file.

Reproduced on:
Tomcat 6.0 + MySQL 5. 6.0.12 EE.
Tomcat 7.0 + MySQL 5. 6.2.x GIT ID: b33b66ad30dd027671873d00010673d9efcf306a.

The downloaded file is corrupt.

Fixed on:
Tomcat 6.0 + MySQL 5. 6.0.x GIT ID: 42a2ae4b307363ecfa126dd037a2952238aa9633.
Tomcat 7.0 + MySQL 5. 6.1.x GIT ID: 6d6b8814da7c7295ed4cab8420e070793361f856.
Tomcat 7.0 + MySQL 5. 6.2.x GIT ID: 71ce8e940ae12bae24e2a5e14cf3f836bb291915.

The downloaded file isn't corrupt and open correctly.
