There is a known bug in the CMIS repository implementation of IBM FileNet P8 5.0 Fix Pack 2 dealing with minor versions. Within FileNet, minor versions are not searchable via the IN_FOLDER keyword of the CMIS Query Language, which Liferay makes use of.

As discussed with IBM, the current workaround is to force all new file versions created within Liferay to always be created as a major version. However, if a minor version is created from outside Liferay (in FileNet P8), then it may not be visible within the Liferay document library.

Hi Kevin,

The bug you report has already been fixed via LPS-19508.

Major versions are going to be 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, etc. Minor versions are going to be 1.1, 2.4, etc. When you view the File, it should say the version number and it should end with ".0".

From within Liferay, you should not be able to create a minor version. That is a requirement with FileNet.
