These types of issues are best discussed on the Liferay community forums. JIRA is specifically for filing possible Liferay bugs and other issues.

As a courtesy, I can quickly answer your question. In the Liferay control panel, go to Server Administration. You should see the Liferay version number and name near the top of the page.
