There are two problems in the 6.1.x UI of the Documents and Media portlet.

1. Previews generated for file entries are not shown in shortcuts.
2. Shortcuts for file entries that are checked out show both the shortcut link icon and the padlock icon on top of one another.

To test:

1. Upload an image to the Document and Media portlet. Wait for the thumbnail to be generated.
2. Create a shortcut to this image in the same page (first problem shows up).
3. Checkout the original file (second problem shows up).

This should be verified against all major file formats that we generate previews for (PDF, Image, and Video).
