On the message board portlet appears to be a variable [$MESSAGE_URL$].
Please list this variable in the definition of terms (Message board Configuration: Message Addes email + Message Updated email).

PASSED manual testing using the following steps:

  1. Add a Message Boards portlet to the front page.

  2. Click the portlet's wrench icon > configuration.

  3. Click the "Message Added Email" tab.

    • Verify that [$MESSAGE_URL$] is listed and defined under the "Definition of Terms" list.

  4. Repeat for the "Message Updated Email" tab.
