Alloy uses YUI3, which does not allow synchronous ajax requests. They have agreed to add it in, but there is no definitive date when it will be added by, and as such we need it to be patched until it's ready.
I'm adding the patched code into the build.xml file instead of inside of alloy (since this is, or should be a rarely used option).
