You mentioned that you do not have any experience with Alloy UI so this task of helping us with the Alloy UI documentation will fit you well as you become familiar Alloy UI. What we would like you to do is get familiar with Alloy UI, but take notes on any questions or comments you might have. These might be question as simple as "how do you use Alloy UI?" or "how do you get started?" We want to get a fresh perspective on where our documentation lacks since we get a lot of questions about Alloy UI when we meet people.

Alloy UI is a Javascript library based on the YUI library (http://yuilibrary.com/). They are both very similar, and the steps to setup YUI (http://yuilibrary.com/yui/quick-start/) could probably port very easily to Alloy UI. If you need the source code, you can fork and clone it from github.com (https://github.com/liferay/alloy-ui). Inside the source, you will see a folder called demos which are HTML files showing all the modules we have in Alloy and their functionality. If you want to look at any API documentation you can visit http://deploy.alloyui.com/.
