1. This functionality will be encapsulated in a Liferay widget which admins or developers can drop on a page
2. It may function similar to how a language selector in Liferay works.
3. My best guess is that the range of currencies available on any given site will commonly be from 2-5 currencies with more than 10 being very unlikely
4. Don't use flags to represent currencies
5. A user can select, at most, one currency at a given point in time
