Background
We always talk about how manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers need to compete on customer experience, and how a customer portal that's well designed and executed really gives them a competitive advantage over their peers. Then we ask, "what does a good customer experience look like? Part of it is having a modern look and feel similar to the shopping experience they have on consumer sites like Amazon, but really most B2B buyers are looking for efficiency – a site which makes it as easy as possible to find the product they're looking for, place an order, and get on with their day and the rest of the work they need to do."
Research Questions
- What capabilities exist that we're currently not covering with our features or accelerators which could help support this story of "frictionless commerce?"
- How can we use design to improve the speed at which buyers can get from point A to point B? Are there specific design patterns that are considered best practice that we can implement to support this story?
