The JSF 2.1 version of the alloy-applicant-portlet attempts to upload files via ajax (which is not supported)

    Details

      Description

As described in FACES-2200, it is not possible for alloy:inputFile to upload files via Ajax due to a limitation in JSF 2.1 such that jsf.js does not have the ability to submit forms via XmlHttpRequest with enctype="multipart/form-data". The JSF 2.1 version of the alloy-applicant-portlet is trying to upload a file when the user clicks <alloy:commandButton ... />. Since the default is to submit via Ajax, it is necessary to specify alloy:commandButton ajax="false" ... />.
