This issue serves as a task for adding the ability to conveniently build "thin" JSF WAR artifacts with (optional) OSGi+CDI Integration from archetypes with Gradle. This is currently not possible due to the lack of Gradle-based build profiles.

Note that it is possible to build "thin" JSF WAR artifacts with Gradle – it's just that the developer would have to specify all of the configuration by hand in each portlet project.
