    • Environment:
Latest CVS code, using Orion 2.06 with JDK 1.4 on Linux (Ubuntu)

      Description

      To reproduce:
      1) Change to spanish language (or other language with non-ascii characters)
      2) Click "Add content" ("A±adir Contenido" in spanish)
      3) The layer which contains the categorized list of portlet is loaded dynamically. But the names of the portlets that contain non-ASCII chars will show a '?' mark instead of those characters.
      4) Choose a portlet. If the portlet has some message with a non-ascii character it will also be shown as a '?' mark.
      5) Close the "Add content" layer and reload the page. After reloading all the characters are shown correctly.

The above test demonstrates that the problem only applies to content loaded through AJAX.
