Default thread splitting message is missing

When splitting a thread, there is an option to add an explanation post to the source thread. If this option is selected, the explanation post is suppose to default to the following text:

The new thread can be found at [url=[$NEW_THREAD_URL$]][$NEW_THREAD_URL$].

However, a JavaScript error occurs instead.
