Content authors care more than anything about whether their content is read. Existing analytics solutions are not able to clearly inform authors about whether a visitor actually took the time to read through an article, instead, authors have to draw conclusions from metrics like time on page and scroll depth.
Liferay DXP can provide unique value by providing authors with a simple way to understand how many visitors actually read the content completely. We can also provide a detailed distribution of how far into the content visitors read to.
His/her primary job is to write compelling content. They want to understand how their content is received without being experts in web analytics.
The performance analytics will reside in a sidebar that will be available for content display pages (Display Pages). For the scope of this epic, we will need:
- the title of the content
- the publication date of the content
- the author of the content
- the total view count
- the total read count
- the ratio of views to reads
- an interactive graph of historical reads vs views
