Intro/Context:
According to data collected by Google and SOASTA 40% of consumers leave a page that takes longer than 3 seconds to load. Liferay.com takes 6 to 17 seconds on a mobile device to load.
AMP is an open source framework developed by Google in collaboration with Twitter. Accelerated Mobile Pages create better, faster experiences on the mobile web. At its core, the framework allows you to build lightweight experiences for mobile by simplifying the HTML and following streamlined CSS rules.
AMP is often seen as delivering content directly from search results at almost lightening speed. Many Liferay client would like to have the capability to get AMP compliant Pages to boost their SEO on dedicated pages in particular to have really good scores on Mobile/Tablet.
The goal of this Epic is to add AMP support to pages in order to reach fast loading time on mobile/tablet devices and therefore improve the SEO.
