Steps to Reproduce:

1. Deploy plugin test-localized-portlet from plugins-ee repo.
2. Start portal.
3. Add a Widget Page.
4. Go to the Widget Page.
5. Open sidebar by clicking the Add icon in Control Menu.
6. Under Widgets, try to search a widget.

Expected Results:
Searched widget displays in sidebar.

Actual Results:
Typing a letter into the Search field makes the sidebar become blank.
