Motivation
As there are several reported issues regarding site template propagation, beside creating new performance test plan we are the following changes to make the propagation performance better:
We want to change the working method of the site templates to similar to staging:
- The propagation should be triggered by the site template admins
- Basically, it means simply marking the site template for propagation with a checkbox similarly to the Ready for publication check for page variations.
- Later we may consider having a direct function, like a button for the site template admins, to start the propagation immediately.
- Parallel propagation processes should be multi-threaded
- Partial propagation (
LPS-117360), according to the last publish date for example to propagate the real changes only.
