Unable to add an item to a collection when the display style is set to "cards"

When the item selector's display style is set to "Cards" in the asset-browser-web module, it's not possible to add a new item to a collection.

Steps to reproduce:

• Navigate to Content & Data > Blogs
• Click on the + button to create a new blog entry
• Add a value in the Title field for your blog entry and a value in the content field
• Click on the Publish button 
• Navigate to Site Builder > Collections
• Click on the "New" or "+" button, and choose Manual Selection
• Enter a title for this collection
• In the Item Type drop down menu, choose Blogs Entry and save
• In the select button, choose Blogs entry  
• In the modal window that is opened, change the Display Style to Cards
• Select a Blog Entry
• Click on the Add button 

Expected result:

The Blog Entry is added to the collection

Actual result:

Nothing is added to the collection
