Description

We need to compare Echo components (Web Content, WC Structures, and WC Templates) functional behavior after migration to Data Engine has been applied.

We are NOT going to create any issue in Jira as a result of this validation. We will just fill this document

Context

We want to know what exactly changed in Echo components after enabling the new Data Engine. We are going to document changes in this document.

We should document every discrepancy, even if it is a well known one.

In following steps we are discussing with the team if any single discrepancy is something to document, a missing feature, or a bug.

Test requirements:

Scope

We must at least cover:

• Simple WC (detailed info in subtask LPS-125666)
  • Web Content List
  • Compare general options
• WC Structures (detailed info in subtask LPS-125668)
  • WC Structures List
  • Compare general options
  • Compare fields
    • Field properties
• WC templates (detailed info in subtask LPS-125667)
  • WC Structures List
  • Compare general options

Out of scope:

• We don't need to test migrations here
• We are not testing performance or security

What to do

1. Run a Liferay portal in version 7.3 (last GA) and another one with Master version.
2. To check the differences
3. Add differences in document.

Definition of Done

We tested everything described in the Scope section and we added all found discrepancies in this document.
