Empty paragraph element p in DOM structure after removing h4 in Asset Publisher title

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a web content
2. Add Asset Publisher widget to the page
3. Configure Asset Publisher to Display Template -> Abstracts and Asset Link Behaviour -> Show full contents 
4. Publish and go out of edit mode

Expected: The DOM Structure isn't broken
Actual: For some reason the DOM structure is broken, there is an empty paragraph element p and <span class="d-inline-flex"> is empty and the content that should go inside it <div class="dropdown lfr-icon-menu visible-interaction">... is outside of it's parent content
