Saving Site Settings - Pages with complex pages hierarchy is slow

Reproduction steps

1. Create a Site
2. Go to Configuration > Site Settings > Site Configuration and write down the Site ID
3. Go to Control Panel > Server Administration > Script
4. Paste the contents of generate_page_hierarchy.groovy
5. Set the GROUP_ID to your Site ID
6. Run the script (couple of minutes)
7. Go to Configuration > Site Settings > Pages
8. Without any modification, press Save

Expected behaviour: Saving is fast
Actual behaviour: Saving is couple minutes long. This performance issue is more relevant on 7.3.x and before, as the Site Settings form is one monolith. Any change to it would trigger this "Pages" performance issue"
