Navigation of regular paginator behaves inconsistently

Reproduction steps:

1. Create a new widget page
2. Add an Asset Publisher Portlet to the page
3. In Configuration > Setup > Display Settings set "Pagination Type" to "Regular" and set "Number of Items to Display" to "1" and save it
4. Add at least 16 Basic Web Content to the Asset Publisher
5. In the dropdown, enter the number "1" in the search box and try to navigate down with arrow keys

 Actual behavior:

The navigation sometimes does not work and you have to press the arrow keys 10 times to get the second result (number 10)

 Expected behavior:

Consistent behavior of navigation and get the next or previous selection by pressing the arrow key only once
