As an administrator, I'd like to have a one-stop-location for health checks of my infrastructure

Description

Currently (as of 7.4U20), Commerce comes with Settings/Health Check, where it signals some missing configuration, inconsistent data, .

This functionality is worth having for the whole platform, where it can detect breaking changes explicitly - especially in the light of frequent updates that might require changes in configuration.

This feature request asks for promoting Health Check functionality from Commerce to Platform, and as an umbrella for implementation of numerous other health checks - starting with breaking changes in any of the rolling updates (taking LPS-151639 as an example)

Purpose: It's easy to miss documentation about required changes, error prone to rely on purely written changes, and potentially frustrating if a problem isn't immediately obvious. A comprehensive health check should serve as the one-stop-shop to surface any problem that can be detected automatically.

Further reference:

In comparison with the current implementation within commerce:

With enough concrete Health Checks implemented, I'm assuming that the UI would need to organize the individual checks into different groups. Also, some of these checks might be automagically fixable, some might require manual configuration fixes.

is another case that would benefit of an appropriate health-check-implementation that detects a system restored under a different name.

The spike solution has seen a couple of updates by now and gets more and more useful (according to its biased author )

E.g.: Identify referenced host names for Data Providers, Client Extensions etc (which might differ between test and prd systems)

I vote on this one , would be great as a go-live checklist tool as well.
