External video shortcuts cannot be rendered in Media Gallery

Videos are rendered but external video shortcuts are not.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Add an external video shortcut in DM
2. Add a Media Gallery to a site page (by default the root folder should be DM home)
3. View widget

Expected result:
Since the external video shortcut is in DM home it should appear in the widget.

Actual result:
It does not.

Reproduced on:
Tomcat 9.0.56 + MySQL 5.7.
