Allow '$' to be specified in extension elements

    Details

    • Branch Version/s:
      6.0.x, 5.2.x
    • Backported to Branch:
      Committed

      Description

      This will change the pattern used for extension elements. Instead of storing the parameter name as the element name, we will move to store the parameter name in an attribute. This change allows more characters to be specified as the parameter name.

      Old (illegal):

      <extensions>
      <ns1:ho$t xmlns:ns1="http://www.liferay.com/wsrp">localhost:8080</ns1:extension>
      </extensions>

      New:

      <extensions>
      <ns1:extension xmlns:ns1="http://www.liferay.com/wsrp" ns1:name="ho$t">localhost:8080</ns1:extension>
      </extensions>
