Navigation Menu - Re-order Items Using Keyboard Instead of Mouse

In January it'll be coming up on two years of no progress on making navigation menu item reordering easier. Long before entering that request discussions were being had as to making UX of navigation menus better.

As a quick and easy solution can we at least look at:

• Using the keyboard up and down arrow keys to re-order (instead of mouse)
• Add a URL and page entry to the currently selected sub menu (instead of placing item at bottom of list)

These two things alone would provide immediate help for the most people if backported to 7.3

 

 These improvements can also be applied to web content repeatable fields in order to provide much needed usability there too.
