      Description

      Requesting an improvement to- com.liferay.portal.util.PortalImpl.java

      There are two different methods,

      1) public void sendError(int status, Exception e, ActionRequest actionRequest, ActionResponse actionResponse) throws IOException
      2) public void sendError(int status, Exception e, HttpServletRequest request, HttpServletResponse response) throws IOException, ServletException

The first method only redirects the user to a portal error page which displays the exception type, but no details about the exception itself get logged or printed anywhere.
The second method checks to see what the log level is and then logs the exception message if the level supports it.

End-Goal - Would like to have a method/ability to log or track error that appears on page obtained by user for the purpose of diagnosing the error
