      Description

I have a situation where I have navigation both at top of page and a main navigation menu which I want to manage in the portal. Currently there is only one navigation menu that can be defined per page and is accessible in theming via nav_items. It would be great if I could define more than one set of nav_items (i.e: nav_items is an array) in a theme and the page configuration.

Currently as a workaround I define a structure like

      menu1
      – a
      – b
      menu2
      – c
      – d

and then in the theme look for menu1 and menu2 to decide which menu is which. This has 2 unwanted side effects.
      1) If I click on a then breadcrumb trail indicates menu1->a where I don't what menu1 to ever appear. When I select menu1 hidden then the entire tree under menu1 is hidden unfortunately. Hence perhaps there should be another attribut that can hide the menu from display but retain the structure in nav_items

      2) In 6.1 menu1 shows up as the first page. i.e: (http://localhost:8080/web/thecompany/menu1)

It would be great if this was instead a first order construct so I don't have to kludge it.
