Documents & Media - Video does not keep aspect ratio/refit upon window resizing

    Details

      Description

When video files are currently played in Liferay, on load they are resized relative to window size.

As an example, if you were to load a video when the window is currently taking up half the screen, the video will be squished and aspect ratio lost; should this window be maximized, the video will remain squished, requiring a refresh to resize itself.

Aspect ratios should be locked, and the players should be dynamically resizing.

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. Load liferay, log in as test/test
      2. add documents & media portlet
      3. window your browser to half of your screen space
      4. add a movie file to document library and select it so the preview will generate

The preview will be squished (depending on the video resolution and frame placement/page setup; see resize1.jpg), even if you maximize the window (resize2.jpg). A refresh is required for the video to refit itself to your window.
