      Description

Tomcat bundle (liferay-portal-tomcat-6.1.10-ee-ga1-20120217120951450.zip) does not contains mysql jdbc (mysql.jar) into lib/ext.

Source zip (liferay-portal-src-6.1.10-ee-ga1-20120217120951450.zip) refers but does not include mysql.jar into lib/development

I confirm, the mysql.jar is not present in the liferay-portal-tomcat-6.1.10-ee-ga1-20120217120951450.zip. We have to add it manually

I've read 6.1 EE notes about mysql and JBoss 7.

But mysql.jar isn't present also into tomcat bundle, and liferay source zip.

No problem to add it manually, I'm used to change also PostgreSQL JDBC, but I don't understand why it is removed. I have found no issue about it.

I had the same problem today. I simply copied over the mysql.jar and mysql.jar.index and the module xml file from the CE bundle.
        Works so far.

mysql.jar has been removed due to licensing restrictions. You can manually download the jar from mysql.com.
