Could we please get an E.T.A for this release?

We are starting a new project and would like to find out when Liferay Portal will be Java 7 ready.

      Thanks

The community edition will be targeted for 6.2, the next release, mid 2013.

The Enterprise Edition will be slated by end of Q4

So this says fixed in 6.1.X EE - does that mean it hasn't been scheduled for a release and is only part of the main branch? What is the expected version number and release date for enterprise edition? Also - is this(these) java 7 support items mean that our project can be compiled with JDK7? I'm asking because I'd like to know feasibility of running on a Java7 runtime and it doesn't matter to me if I compile Liferay components with Java 6 or Java 7, just want it to run without running into the listed JDK 7/6 behavioral compatibility issues noted on Oracle site: www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/compatibility-417013.html.

Has anyone tried compiling their Liferay 6.1.20 application on Java 6 and running on a Java 7 app server/container?

      Cheers,
      Dan C.
