      Description

      Hello,

I'm unable to connect the mail portlet to neither our own mail server nor my private ISP's mail server.

I've added screenshots for the configuration to our internal mail server and the stacktrace I'm getting in the console when the portlet tries to connect to the server.

Please note from the screenshots that I have configured the mail account in Thunderbird and we're also running a roundcube 0.8.1 webmail client against the mail server.

        Hello,

just wanted to know if anybody is taking care of this?

The mail portlet is now an independent portlet in the market place, it should be possible to fix this problem and release a new version before releasing a new major release of Liferay?

        Many thanks in advance

        Alex

        Hello,

I guess I figured out what the problem was ... we are using a secured IMAP connection on our mail server and it looks like the certificate was missing from keychain on the Liferay server.

Got the mail portlet working on my test machine. Will try on the production machine and keep this updated.

Yes, that was did the trick.

I added the certificate from the mail server to the keychain

keytool -import -alias the_certificate_alias -keystore cacerts -file path/filename.cer

        and now the portlet works.

        You can close the ticket.

        Thanks

        Alex
