      Description

Create mobile application for Social Office-style FB, LinkedIn, G+, etc. But you can have your own "branding" or range of colors, logo, etc..

This app could have these functions:

      • Notifications.
      • Microblogging Section.
      • Messages.
      • Calendar.
      • Friends.
      • Documents and Media (Liferay Sync)
      • Embedded navigation in Portal.
      • Applications.

And that application would have an interface with the Calendar and Contacts of the mobile.

Tools like Yammer (by Microsoft) already have this tools. Would enable Liferay Social Office to send notifications to mobiles and convert it into a pro-active tool.

        Hola Luis:
this is a cool idea! We are thinking in implementing more apps in the not-so-far future, and we'll love to have your feedback. I got a quick question for you: how do you see this, as a single app that does everything (Notifications, Microblogging, Messages, contacts...) or you would prefer having different apps you can download depending on your needs?
Thanks (again) for being so active, friend

I see it more as a unique app as Facebook, Yammer, Line does. Not sure about messaging, as Liferay rely in other systems for e-mail, voice and chatting, but if you think in Liferay, you see it is a Portal that unifies all the services, so for Mobile, I think the approach should remain the same. It isn't necessary to made all services native, as the app could be an hybrid app.
