Page not accesible after adding a Dynamic Data List to that page in a Site Template and deploying the template

1. Launch a clean install of Liferay
2. Login as Test and navigate to Control Panel -> Site Templates
3. Create a template called "Data List" and Save
4. Click on the template and under Configuration click on Open Site Pages
5. Add the Dynamic Data List Display Portlet to the home page
6. Create a new Data Definition and a new Data List within this portlet
7. Click Save
8. Create a new site from this site template called "Test Site"
9. Navigate to the home page of Test Site

Intended Result: the home page should display
Actual Result: Internal Server Error shows and an exception is generated (see attached)

The same results are generated if the Dynamic Data List Display portlet is scoped to Default or to Current Page
