Documents and Media portlet root folder permission is set differently depending where the portlet has been accessed on first time.

      Summary:

      Documents and Media portlet root folder permission is set differently depending where the portlet has been accessed on first time. If the user access the portlet first time from public page then the View permissions for root folder to Guest role are set. If the user access portlet first time private site (like control panel), then no view permissions to Guest role has been set.

      Samekind of behavior is happening also with Messageboard and Bookmarks.

      Before starting the use case: Empty Liferay portal, installation.

      Do not touch Document and Media library at control panel.

      1A. Open Liferay portal and login and go to control panel.
      1R. User are logged in an control panel.
         
      2A. Create Site named "SiteA" and create with public pages.
      2R. You have site with public pages.
         
      3A. Open the SiteA's front page.
      3R. Site's front page is open
         
      4A. Add "Document and media" library portlet to page.
      4R. You are able to see document and media library portlet on the page.
         
      5A. Choose "Home" → "Permissions"
      5R. You are able to see that Guest permissions are flagged.
         
      6A. Create Site named "SiteB" and create with public pages.
      6R. You have site with public pages.
         
      7A. Make sure that "SiteB" is selected on control panel and choose "Document and Media library" from Control panel.
      7R. You are viewing "Document and Media library" under control panel with SiteB scope.
         
      8A. Choose "Home" → "Permissions"
      8R. You are able to see that Guest permissions is not flagged. (Wrong behavior) -> Guest permissions should be flaggged
