Can't configure Liferay with Gmail mail server via portal-ext.properties file

      Description

      Trying to configure Liferay to use a Gmail mail server via portal-ext.properties file doesn't work. Added the following to portal-ext.properties file and restarted Liferay but the mail configuration didn't work. Tested by clicking the "Forgot password" link in the Sign In portlet but no password reminder email was sent.

      Using the UI to configure the mail server using the same Gmail account information worked. However, it's desirable to be able to set up the mail server via portal-ext.properties so, for example, each server in a cluster could have its own mail server.
