Built Site and two sub sites, shows I am a member, but not in my "My Sites" menu

Built a site and then two sub sites. Looked at memberships, shows I'm a member. Looked in my profile, shows I'm a member, but doers not show up in my "My Sites" menu. All sites were "Restricted sites"
