A client had an idea that they shared with me about wanting to see if there was the capability to stage all sites at the same time.
This got me thinking: how could we improve staging and what ideas could we bring to the table in order to make staging easier to manage?
The idea that I had was to create a new user interface that would know ALL sites that are staged. Through this interface we could manage each individual staged site and which options we'd like to select. In this way, we can select each site to be staged and which content that we'd like to stage and it would remember these settings and save them for future publications.
It would be great to see the user interface show each and every staged site and being able to manage it on one single screen and then selecting each individual site to stage or clicking all of them would be a neat little tool that could help with management of all staging sites and it would require much less work than going to each individual site page setting and then publishing. At the same time, this interface can also hold the data of which sites were last published and other meta data that would be pertinent to staging such as the last publication was a SUCCESS for groupId 11111.
I was wondering if this was possible or if it was a good idea to develop.
