      Description

The Goal: The ability to edit and configure pages created from a page template, and still have it synced to the page template.

      Steps:

      1) Create a page template that has core portlets that would be on every page.
      A) Alert portlet across the top
      B) Search portlet on the left side
      C) Recent assets below search
      D) Most viewed assets below recent assets

      2) Add pages to the site that utilize this page template
      A) Add a Web Content Display portlet to the right side of the new page
      B) Select/Add the web content to be displayed on the page
      C) Add an Asset Publisher below the web content display portlet that is configured to show items that are specific for that page (i.e. have a specific mix of categories or tags).

      3) At some time in the future, we will want to add a portlet to all pages in the site.
      A) Open the page template created in Step 1
      B) Add the portlet to the left side, under most viewed assets
      C) The change to the page template is reflected on all pages in the site that are linked to the template, including those that have portlets added to them like in Step 2.
