      Description

      Description

      When using a document from another Site and linking it on a Web content from a different Site, a duplicate file is created in the file system. Please consider the following scenario:

      1. Create Site A and Site B
      2. Enable Staging on both
      3. In Site A, upload an image, and publish to live.
      4. In Site B, create a web content with the Image from Site A
      5. Place on a page, and publish to live.

      Note the groupIds for both Sites (10918 and 10972 respectively), and then follow the path in the file system.

      $

      {LIFERAY_HOME}

      /data/document_library/10154/$

      {GROUP_ID}

      /10

      In 10918, there was a folder 102.afsh with a file of the same name. In 10972, there was a folder 103.afsh with a file of the same name. They have the same file size.

      It would be helpful if a duplicate file was not created as it can consume unnecessary space in the system.
