As a user, I should not see Shindig exception stack traces when starting a bundle

    Details

    • Type: Bug
    • Status: Closed
    • Resolution: Won't Fix
    • Affects Version/s: 6.2.10 EE GA1

    • Component/s: Open Social

      Description

      Step to reproduce:
      1. Be in China
      2. Start Liferay 6.2.10 EE GA1 SP7 Tomcat bundle
      3. As the portal is starting, the console will display several stack traces (see log-china.txt)

Note: You CANNOT just disconnect your internet to test this. If you just disconnect your internet, the console will look something like log-no-internet.txt, which I think is acceptable since these are just INFO and WARNING messages. In order to reproduce outside of China, I think you might need to setup a DNS and delete the entries for ajax.googleapis.com, google-analytics.com, and google.com (but I'm not sure).

The stack traces creates a really bad initial impression for anyone evaluating Liferay Portal.

The problem is in the opensocial-portlet. If this plugin is removed, the problem will not appear.
