Character count for textarea element input in Char Counter is incorrectly calculated in Chrome

    Details

      Description

When a number of characters with a count of maxlength - 1 are pasted into a Char Counter box, the outline of the textarea box turns red, even though 1 character remains before reaching the maxlength. As such, it seems that AUI thinks the max has already been reached.

      Steps to reproduce:
      1. Copy and paste the following snippet of text into a Char Counter textarea box:

Whitespace characters used within "textarea" like elements
      are treated as one character
but can cause validation issues take for example

Expected Result: The textarea box will be outlined in red once the maxlength count has been reached.
Actual Result: The textarea box is outlined in red before the maxlength count has been reached.

This has been reproduced using the AlloyUI portlet, as well as on the AlloyUI 2.5.x Real World Example: http://alloyui.com/examples/char-counter/real-world/
