      Description

Since MySQL 5.6.4, temporal values are allowed to have fractional seconds to be saved. For backward compatibility, it has it disabled (by default to 0 precision). (For more details see https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.6/en/fractional-seconds.html)

But it creates a very serious regression, now fractional seconds are no long simply dropped as before 5.6.4, but doing a rounding.

      See http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=68760

The bug was created at "24 Mar 2013 21:08", apparently no one tries to fix it at all.

Because of this bug and MySQL 5.5 is reaching its EOL, we will drop off support to MySQL 5.5 for portal 7.0. Portal 7.0+ requires MySQL 5.6.4+ to work correctly.

In Portal 7.0+ all TIMESTAMP type will be defined as datetime(6) for MySQL 5.6.4+
