Weekly Recurrence Event is displaying in start date also

Reproduction steps:

1.) Create the event with start and end date on the 08/01/2015 (a Saturday).
2.) Check the "All day" checkbox.
3.) Check the "Repeat" checkbox , where another popup comes up.
4.) Select "Weekly" from the dropdown of the "Repeats".
5.) Check the "Monday" checkbox of the "Repeat On".
6.) Click on the "On" Radio button and select the date till "08/31/2015".
7.) Click on the done and click on the save button.

Expected result: Should be displayed only on Mondays (3rd, 10th, 17, 24,31).
Actual result: The event is displaying on 1st also on Saturday (1st,3rd, 7th, 17, 24,31).

Proposed fix

The current fix proposal consists on selecting the start date's day of week by default and not allowing it to be deselected. So, in step 5, Saturday will be selected by default and could not be altered.
