Description
Cannot close sites facet with embedded search portlet on page

Steps to Reproduce
0) Create a theme with a search portlet

{theme.search()}

embedded in the portal-normal.ftl.

1) Start bundle
2) Deploy the custom theme
3) Set the home page to use the theme
4) Add a web content article to the home page
5) Search for the web content article using the embedded search bar in the top right corner
6) Click on "Liferay" in the left hand menu under site, a facet box should appear above the search portlet
7) Click the "x" to remove the facet box

Expected Result: The facet will be removed
Actual Result: the facet is removed and then appears again
