      Description

      The Portlet 2.0 spec, section "PLT.20.2.4 Configuration of Filters in a Portlet Application" pages 15-158 states:

      Filters can be associated with groups of portlets using the '*' character as a wildcard at
      the end of a string to indicate that the filter must be applied to any portlet whose name
      starts with the characters before the "*" character. Example:

      <filter-mapping>
      <filter-name>Log Filter</filter-name>
      <portlet-name>*</portlet-name>
      </filter-mapping>

      Here the Log Filter is applied to all the portlets within the portlet application, because
      every portlet name matches the '*' pattern.

      However, Liferay doesn't execute a filter with a portlet-name of '*'. It will only execute the filter if the portlet-name matches an existing portlet's name.

      This wildcard feature for mapping filters to portlets of the portlet spec needs to be implemented in Liferay.
