Steps to reproduce:

1. Deploy Sample Application Adapter hook
2. Navigate to Sites
3. Create a site
4. Select Sample Application Adapter Hook
5. Add a page to a site
6. Navigate to a site
7. Add Navigation Menu portlet to a page

Expected result:
This message "This was modified by the Sample Application Adapter." displays.

Actual result:
No information message displays.
