Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable SSL on Tomcat: http://techtracer.com/2007/09/12/setting-up-ssl-on-tomcat-in-3-easy-steps/
2. Start the server and login as test@liferay.com
3. Navigate to Server Administration > Mail and set the following:
Incoming POP Server: pop.gmail.com
Incoming Port: 995
Use a Secure Network Connection: Checked
User Name: Your email address
Password: The password to your email account
Outgoing SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
Outgoing Port: 465
Use a Secure Network Connection: Checked
User Name: Your email address
Password: The password to your email account
4. Log out of portal
5. Create new account
6. Check email sent
Expected Behavior: PORTAL_URL value does not show -1
Actual Behavior: PORTAL_URL value shows -1
Note: If the email is not showing up in Gmail, you may need to go to Google > My Account > Security > turn "Allow less secure apps: On"
